Celsus Library

The Celsus Library was built in 117 AD by Gaius JuliusAquila to be a memorial to his father Gaius Julius Celsus Polemaeanus The Proconsul of Asia Province. The grave of Celsus was beneath the ground flor and there was a statue of Athena over it the goddess of wisdom. It was the 2nd riches library of the ancient worl with thw capacity of 12.000 scrolls.
